Introduction
According to the importance of Sea level in coastal/offshore scientific and nonscientific activities including Seafaring, oceanography, coastal engineering, offshore industry, coastal zone management, Marine geology, marine laws and boundaries and Climate changes, National Cartographic Center(NCC) of Iran began to installtide-gaugesto collect sea level data along the Persian Gulf and Oman sea coastlines since 1990 and Caspian sea since 1998.

NCC has also been responsible for analyzing collected tidal data in order to extract thetidal components, height datum as the basis for national levelling network and chart datum used for preparing marine navigational charts.

Navigational chart is a graphic representation of a sea area and adjacent coastal regions. depending on the scale of the chart, it may show depths of water and heights of land, natural features of the seabed, details of the coastline, navigational hazards, locations of natural and human-made aids to navigation, information on tides and currents, and human-made structures such as harbors, buildings and bridges.

As the depthsdepicted on a chart are normally referred toChart Datum, tidal prediction play a key role in navigation to inform the mariners about the exact/safe depth while sailing.
